Throughout the academic year, the Writing Centre offers workshops called Writing the EDT. Check our workshops. These sessions provide tips for students on what to expect when writing the English Diagnostic Test (EDT) and how to prepare for it.
In between workshops, students are welcome to drop by the Writing Centre to consult one-on-one with instructors about planning for the EDT. We offer topics for students to write sample EDT-type essays. Instructors will review the student essays and suggest strategies for preparing to write a successful EDT.
For frequently asked questions about the EDT and to see the scheduled dates for the upcoming sittings, check the English Diagnostic Test.
