What is Let's Get Consensual?
The BC Government recently passed Bill 23, mandating that every post-secondary institution in the province have a policy on sexual violence and misconduct. As a response to the implementation of Capilano University's policy, the consent campaign was brought to campus. The Cap Get Consensual workshop will define sexual assault, consent and what that means for the CapU community. We will work together to bust myths around sexualized violence, explore the gender galaxy and break down rape culture. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with a better understanding of what consent in Canada consists of, and how we can work together to prevent sexualized violence on campuses across the country. Due to the sensitive nature of the material, further details about location and content will be sent out via email after pre-registration.
This workshop has been adapted for Capilano University students from the “Let’s Get Consensual” workshop created by the Anti-Violence Project at the University of Victoria.
